Wow! What a game that was. If you weren't watching #1 North Carolina went into Cameron Indoor Stadium and knocked off #5 Duke by a final of 76-68. UNC used a 10-0 run to close out the game to win the ACC and almost certainly the #1 seed in the East bracket of the NCAA Tournament. Duke trailed for nearly the whole game, but had a spurt midway through the second half to take their first lead. But, in the stretch following their first lead since 3-0, the Devils couldn't seem to hit anything, and they had no answer for Tyler Hansbrough who had 16 points 15 rebounds and 2 of UNC's 15 blocked shots.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's hard to win with out a big man. Just ask my alma mater, the only way you can win without a true post player is to shoot the lights out, one cold night from the floor and you're toast. In tonight's game Duke shot 33% from the field including 10-29 from distance.
All in all it was a really great game to watch, with momentum swinging back and forth through out. About the only thing that could have made this game better is if Erin Andrews had worn a sheer white tank top and a pair of girls medium booty shorts on the side line. I wouldn't be surprised to see these two team play each other again twice, once in the ACC tourney and once in the final four. I just wish the NCAA would get their head out of their ass and make Duke the #2 in the east so they could meet in the elite 8 in a game played in North Carolina.
