Is it time to call up USC?

In some of the European Soccer leagues a team can move up or down from one league to another based on their play. It is my humble opinion that it's time to move the St. Louis Rams to the PAC-10 and call up the USC Trojans. Southern Cal has a number of NFL starters on it's roster, the same can hardly be said for the Rams, at least when it comes to the big uglies. Saying the Rams suck is being unfair to all things that have sucked in the past.

The caper to the Rams wretched season isn't that they are second to last in both points scored and points allowed (39 Scored, 103 allowed). No the real kicker is that they are turning to Gus Frerotte to start this weekends game against Arizona. Gus motherfucking Frerotte! Don't get me wrong here, Gus is a fine enough back up. Hell, he has a 33-30-1 record as a starter (Inky and I were at that tie against the Giants where Gus famously headbutted the wall after scoring his TD). He has guided a few teams to winning records, was a probowl selection in '96 and has a funny name. Everything you could want in a backup QB. But, by going to him now all you're doing is telling the offensive line that they suck so bad that they can't be trusted to keep Marc Bulger alive. This is classic giving up if I've ever seen it.

I think the Men of Troy could do a bit of a better job protecting J.D. Booty's booty against NFL defenses then the O-Line in Saint Lou are doing for Bulger and Frerotte. So the time is now to make the move. While we're at it, maybe we should move Notre Dame to Division III too, just to be on the safe side.
